Wonderscent

Milan, Italy

The Wonderscent event, promoted by Calé, producer and distributor of niche perfumes, took place in the rooms of Palazzo Serbelloni in Milan on 15 and 16 September 2022.
The display concept was inspired by the typically 16th century Wunderkammer, or Cabinet of Curiosities: spaces in which intellectuals, scientists and eccentrics kept objects known as mirabilia, i.e. wondrous things either taken from nature or manmade.

To tell the story or re-evoke the creation of each of the perfumes presented at the event, a number of compositions of mirabilia, consisting of cult objects, objects of affection or items inspired by the fragrances, were assembled and arranged in the rooms of the Palazzo.
A series of video installations completed the experiential exhibition, reproducing images of nature in its most powerful and unexpected forms.
At Wonderscent it is as if a noble traveller has invited us into the rooms of his palace to discover the treasures he collected during his explorations, a majestic collection of rarities and perfumes.
